Hi everyone! We’re thrilled to be getting started, and just as tickled that you’ve decided to join us here for a few minutes. We’re going to keep our first post short, not much longer than to say hello and invite you in to poke around the rest of the site. In the coming weeks and months, we’ll be posting content here pretty regularly. All of our content will be free, so drop in any time you’d like and see if there’s anything we’ve published that piques your interest. If there’s anything you’d like to read about but haven’t seen here, feel free to contact us about it and we’ll see if we can work it in. Likewise give us a shout if you’d like to be added to our e-mail list. (We’re still working out some of the kinks, so contact us through the form for now.)

Until next time, we’ll close by pointing to a couple other sources for free content, written by other military veterans (really smart ones) who blog on financial matters for service members and their families. Like us, they’re nerds about this stuff and love sharing their insights about reaching financial independence. But we’re unapologetically building a business to serve the members of our tribe who want ongoing personal service in their financial lives. These guys write about this stuff just because they’re passionate about it. Paul and I are smart enough to know we don’t (and won’t ever) know everything…but we get smarter when we read these guys’ stuff. We think you will too. So without any further ado:

  • The Military Guide. Doug Nordman retired at age 41 after 20 years with the U.S. Navy’s submarine force. When he’s not blogging, he’s an enthusiastic surfer, an omnivorous reader, a martial arts student, and a veteran of many chaotic home-improvement projects. Oh, and he’s written a book. (Actually, he’s written two.)
  • The Military Dollar. This one’s written by one of our tribe still on active duty with your United States Air Force. Because of the active duty status, we’ll be a little more circumspect about identity and bio here. But the blog’s been up for about a year and a half and is very prolific.

Enjoy, and we’ll see you back here again soon!
